The tools I use (and why).

We all have our own way of working, our own techniques and our own tools. I’m always interested in finding new ways of working. Ways to improve quality and creating efficiency in my work. Here are some of my favorite tools I currently use in my day-to-day.

Adobe XD
I discovered Adobe XD when it was released in beta, and it quickly became the foundation of how I work. Adobe XD is an all-in-one design, prototype and developer hand-off tool. Additionally it’s fast, easy to use and makes designing quick and easy. Updates come frequently on a monthly basis, each which further strengthens the product.

The rest of the Adobe Creative Suite
The remaining Adobe products help round out and support Adobe XD. I won’t go into the benefits of each program but the order of importance (for me) is Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign and Animate.

Slack is used as my primary communication channel for my team. The ability to organize communication in a centralized location helps keep us informed and on-track.

Feedly is my news reader of choice. Allowing me to keep up-to-date with design trends/news, and my other personal interests. It’s user interface including keyboard commands allows me quickly see what’s going on in the design world.
